Overclocking 2500k and LLC

Thread Starter
So I have never overclocked before and I tried a few prime95 tests with these settings after doing a little reading:

i5-2500k with GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard (Hyper 212 cooler)
4.5GHz 1.33v LLC OFF (prime95 caused instant BSoD)
4.5GHz 1.35v LLC OFF (prime95 caused BSoD after 2 seconds)
4.5GHz 1.40v LLC OFF (prime95 caused BSoD after 3 hours) [temps exceeded 80c]
4.0GHz 1.35v LLC OFF (testing this as I type, been running for 2 hours so far) [temps exceeding 70c]

CPU-Z reports lower voltages than I've set (right now it's reporting 1.272v and ocasionally goes to 1.284v, despite the voltage in BIOS being set to 1.35v), and after doing a little googling I found out this is caused by vdroop and is fixed by enabling LLC. However, some people recommend not to turn this on. I need a little advice regarding what I should do. I'd like to get some more power out of my CPU, but not at the cost of it dying within a few months because I'm messing with settings I know little about.

Should I enable LLC and reduce the voltage (closer load/BIOS voltage, or disable LLC and increase the voltage (large gap between load/BIOS voltage)?

When I overclocked I left LLC on, your mileage may vary though. I found LLC to help stabilize unstable overclocks.
