I have the Goliathus Speed in Medium atm but I am looking to purchase another one but in extended.

What is the true difference. I notice that the speed is fast and has very low friction but I feel like I am not very precise with my mouse (using Razer Abyssus non mirror edition).

I don't know if it's me or the mouse pad.

Thanks

(I also play on 1000hz/3500DPI w/ high sensitivity - if this makes any difference)

Control is actually faster than the Speed edition. Weird naming scheme by Razer. It also has a rough feeling. It's all preference, obviously, but I'd stick with the speed.

I would choose Control. Highsens gamers use small movements to coordinate their mouse so it's easier to aim with Control.

I preferred control for higher sens, speed for lower sens, I know this sounds like it contradicts the 2 but it really doesn't, usually when you have a low sensitivity you need that extra bit of speed and for high sensitivity that extra bit of control.

I found the construction on both versions to be really nice (minus the graphics). The speed is super comfy and provides faster speeds than my beloved QCK Heavy while maintaining the control.

The control version just doesn't work for me. The texture of the mouse made it uncomfortable to use, the speed was high for a cloth pad and the control was too low for my taste.

My hayate is a fast pad, but it still has more control and less static friction than the Goliathus Control.

I use speed. Because I like the tightwoven fabric.

I hate the control due to open weave, feels like crap on your wrist.
I even got a bad rash with the new 2014 control goliatus.

Hmmm....

I'm still doing research. I like my speed but it feels somewhat sticky or slow and not precise but then again many people say the control is rough on the hand.
