Wanted:
(WTB) GTX 660Ti/670/760 heatsink

Will Ship To: Anywhere

I am looking for a replacement cooler for my reference PNY GTX 660Ti. I need a dual slot cooler in order to fit in my 250d (ie: no arctic, geilid, scythe).

I would prefer a asus DCUII/msi frozer/any other dual fan style cooler as I am not only concerned with the performance, but rather the sound level.

Let me know what you have and how much shipped to 92027, thanks thumb.gif

Attached is a photo of the stock PNY cooler and my reference pcb (not my photo)

Cooler found. Thanks everyone for the offers.

The only problem with this swap would be that the bios is designed to control the fan of your reference cooler, versus an open air style dual fan cooler. For it to work right you will need to either modify the stock bios using the Kepler bios tweaker or find a bios that's been done already. I know that on the evga and asus reference boards that have the same boards but different fan assemblies they also have a different BIOS'es due to the fan settings.......

I was planning on running the fan over the vrms from the factory plug for the blower fan, and running the second fan from my controller. Not sure if that would work, but willing to give it a run. I can then change my afterburner fan profile for the new fan.

Nope, the 680 and 780 use a totally different pcb. The only heatsinks from EVGA that fit are the reference pcb (shorty) for the 660TI, 670, and 760.

I think you might be, on some level, at least partly, insane... That cooler would take up most of the available space in my GIANT FulmoGT, I can't imagine such a ridiculous thing in my case... Let alone, forget about doing ANY multi-GPU setup... lol

But hey, if you don't care about ANYTHING (multi-GPU, space, etc...), then I think this is the cooler for you!!!
