Actually no, it has some new Battery Boosting thing that will intelligently throttle the GPU to actually get BETTER power than the 7xx series

downscale the resolution to 1600x900 when gaming. would still look awesome at 14"
LoL, 3200x1800 on such a small screen? Everyone is going to be holding a magnifying glass while using that laptop. Resolution scaling in Windows is poorly implemented, almost non-existent. Run games at native resolution? Good luck getting stable framerates. What the hell was Razer's CEO thinking?

Why not just get a MBP and bootcamp Windows? I'd get the recognition of a name brand while tripping people out at coffee shops and libraries running Windows on a MBP.

Or you could just read the articles on it and know that its more than capable of running BF4 and Metro LL on medium settings at native. It will be fine and its an amazing piece of hardware for for its size.

If I had the cash I'd buy this without a second thought. Pity tho. I wonder if they will be able to convince Nvidia to ship them only Maxwell based cards. If so, I'd expect a nice bump in battery life. thumb.gif

I also really like those Green USB ports. Its a nice addition.

Just bought a Thinkpad X1 Carbon and I hate it. The keyboard is utter garbage and the touchpad is painful to use. Going back to my T400!

Perfect laptop for me as a road warrior. The only issue is the Canadian Pricing is rather higher then I hope it to be for a 256GB model at 2700.

Run at 1200p or native most of the time for work. Screen would be awesome for Illustrator, CAD and my other assortment of software. SSD + i7 to handle anything and everything at once if need be. On my 13" laptop right now with SwitchresX I'm running at 1920x1200. Cant go back to lower resolutions biggrin.gif

Gaming switch to 1600x900 or 1920x1080 with that 870M GT.

3200x1800 on a laptop? drool.gif
*** is this I don't even...

I freaked out when I saw a 1080p laptop for the first time, this is beyond overkill for my brain, I can't fathom it.

or they could give us a screen that is highly responsive (ie 120Hz/Gsync/freesync) and at a reasonable resolution for mGPUs (ie no more than 1080p) and then maybe we can enjoy frame rates that are actually smooth and responsive to provide an experience that is wholly enjoyable, not just "playable"
