^This.
Down-Scaling will work as good on either. But doing it on a desktop, or even a laptop screen (most likely bigger than 17" to be 1080p), will end up with clusters of 4 pixels that are already "big" to begin with.

In a 1800p 14" @ 900p, clusters of 4 pixels are probably finer than "single" pixels many 1080p desktop screens have, so it will look great.

Native Razer 14" 1800p ~ 262ppi
Down-sampled to 900p ~ effective 130+ ppi
Native 11" 768p ~ 130ppi
Native 24" 1080p ~ 92ppi
Native 27" 1080p ~ 82ppi
Native 27" 1440p ~ 109ppi

So, even @ 900p, a 14" is much finer than most desktop screens out there (ofc will be viewed at smaller distances, so the perceivable resolution is not linearly better). The 1800p panel is kinda overkill @ native, yet chosen by manufacturers for easy scaling between 900/1800 - both ways.

yes perhaps, but comparative to 1800p on the same screen .. perhaps not wink.gif

and don’t forget the human eye is better at visual acuity at closer ranges and your closer to a smaller screen..

thanks thumb.gif

cant wait. I think it will look worse but id love to be proved wrong because im banking on 1080p looking almost exactly the same as 4k running native on a 4K screen.. (which apparently is potentially not too far off on current up scaling projectors thus making the screen size itself not quite as important as pcfoo is making out)

Not really sure what I read but it was interesting haha. I'm really looking forward to seeing how clean the windows install is. They claim only synapse 2.0 from what I saw. I would hate to have to actually re install windows.

Fans and copper i would think.

To elaborate, an aw 14 cools a 60w gpu and a 45w cpu with 1 fan.

The razer blade uses 2, i'm betting the cpu has 1 heat pipe to the left and the gpu has 2 heat pipes to the right and 1 to the left.
