Go to subscriptions, then edit my subscriptions, and scroll all the way down. Should be an option at the bottom saying set all subscriptions to site only.

Is this for subscriptions?.. Click the subcription button in top right corner (here)

At the bottom you can click the button to stop all email notification from subscriptions.

Other notifications can be changed here
^this is for posts and the below:

Hover over your username in the upper right hand corner of the website, hit on preferences and uncheck all the email notifications you don't want.

^^This. I could only imagine how maddening it would be to have to sift through all that in my regular email. You would think it would be turned off by default. There are some other tricks to clean up your experience here like minimizing all the categories that you don't care about and removing the silly news wheel thing. Once you get enough +rep you don't have to see the ads either.

It was maddening! especially when you've got emails like Amazon shipments that your waiting on and spam checking your inbox for that prettly little '1 email unread'... but then it turns out to be overclock wink.gif Now ill go delete the 520 emails ive been to annoyed to delete.

The hotmail account i have registered on this site got hacked years ago, and Microsoft said it wasn't mine so i didn't get it recovered, so i don't have to worry about the emails anyways biggrin.gif

Also there is ads on here? Ive had adblock for awhile so i never knew

If you've been on the site long enough to qualify for an overclocked account (like you have), you can turn off ads without an adblocker anyways.
