[TheIntercept] How the NSA Plans to Infect ‘Millions’ of Computers with Malware - Page 10

It's a fact whether you want to believe it or not! I know this as I have seen it. I have family members with very high security clearance so I know this is true! Anything you do on any modern communication device is completely accessible by the NSA. It's nothing to lose sleep over, it's just a fact! I'm not a tin-foil hat kind of guy, trust me! It's just the way it has always been ever since the early 50's when we "all of a sudden" got technologically advanced....lol.

If we *really* want to be secure, we must return to pen, paper and/or etch-a-sketch.

"I have seen it"
"family members with very high security clearance"
"it's a fact!"
"50's".... like before the Internet and before public-key encryption...

Yeah.... I don't you understand encryption....

How would that be more secure? You would have to give the message to someone.... and they would have to transport it... and there is nothing you could do to confirm delivery to the correct person.

Prior to public-key encryption, the only secure way of communicating was if two parties meet and exchanged one-time pads (OTP). Both parties would have to meet each time before communicating...

If you think about current technology and what is available to the general public, and I mean REALLY think about it with respect to the current mindset of our Government...How could you possibly believe that they would ever allow the general population to have access to anything remotely near the capabilities of what they have access to?....It will simply never happen!

Think about this way... 1% of the World's population controls 99% of the World's wealth. It's a very small and exclusive club and we are not invited!
Let's just say for examplethat you are a prodigy and you invented an encryption algorithim that the NSA could not break...

You would be bought off, controlled, or locked away forever ...Period!

You really know nothing about this topic, do you?

Do you know what NP-Hard is? Do you know how crypto even works? You obviously do not so you should ask your "relatives with high level clearance" to teach you. If there weren't any encryption algorithms that worked, then the Internet would not work for banking, communication, etc. Furthermore, if there were not sound crypto.... then how would the NSA or military operate? The NSA leaks even confirmed the mathematics are still sound. Please read up on "Kerckhoffs's principle".

If you knew anything about technology and government.... well.... yeah. Most of technology developments are not solely hardware anymore... it's software! Who do you think develops and thinks up most of this software? Google/Facebook/Yahoo technology helped allow the NSA created their data farms. Google has been doing MapReduce for 12-15 years. NSA has been doing it for 5-8 years at most.

These technologies have changed datacenters:
MapReduce
Software Defined Networking
Solid State Storage
GPGPU
NoSQL
NewSQL
Big Data
Cloud

NSA didn't create these.... but they do use them....

I hope you realize that the public and private companies have data process and mining capabilities exceeding the NSA.

Wow... this thread. Reminds me of a few quotes

"People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both.”

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

”He who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither.”

Just wait, RF ID tagging will be shoved down our throats sooner than later... and I'll retreat into my off the grid mode ph34r-smiley.gif

Look,I'm not a troll...I just have a totally different and realistic perspective than 99% of the general population. I am not afraid of reality. The reality is that we are little more than hamsters in a wheel of someone else's design and control. Our available tech is a joke compared to the NSA,,,

Since the Cold War Era we have used satellites hundreds of miles out in orbit that could read the date on a dime but you expect me to believe that the NSA outsources to civillian tech companies for their intelligence gathering hardware without being the apex predator?....That would be blindly presumptuous don't you think?

You might as well show me how Egyptian slaves moved 200 metric ton stones 400 miles in the desert with logs and wooden fulcrums 4000 years ago and when youre done tell me that a lone 767 penetrated the most protected airspace on the planet and hit the center of Military Power and we were utterly powerless to stop it!....God you couldn't medicate me enough to accept that crap!

Okay..enough.I have different views and this a non political sight. I'll let it rest.

Ignorance is bliss....look at our current society.....it's tragic how we have allowed ourselves to be so readily controlled behind false threats of insecurity.

Look up Nikola Tesla and mentally edit out the obviously manufactured facts and tell me that you believe that our technology is not utterly controlled by a select few...

I'll stop here as I don't need my opinions to be accepted to be comfortable with them. I just thought it was silly that the NSA planned a malware release to gain access to tech that they always had access to anyways....lmao.

Peace and happy silicon torturing to all!

"I have secret knowledge not known by everyone else." That's the first sign of a conspiracy theorist.

Ancient Egypt, 9/11, and Nikola Tesla theories all in one post? All you're missing is AIDS denial, singing plants, and vaccine denial and you can join the ranks of the OCN resident conspiracy theorists alongside Liranan.

We could do this forever and get nowhere....LMAO.

My "secret knowledge" consists of exposure to family with serious security clearance and I have no reason to suspect any wild stories. I have seen the interception of a "secure system" with a simple request from one of them....it was a little scary at first but it makes sense that they have this capability. Your only defense against such tech is to never use the internet!

this person was also told to not go to his/her office in the Towers on 9/11....pure coincidence I'm sure!

It is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for Jet fuel to generate the extreme heat required to damage the steel used to construct the towers...CANNOT HAPPEN!

I guess i'm just stupid and the extreme heat from the jet fuel carried all the way to the basement and vaporized the millions of dollars in gold bullion that was never recovered....LOL

Like I said before, you do not have to accept my "opinions" as fact just as I take most AMD/Intel fanboy opinions here with a grain of salt.

It's not a theory if it is true! LOL I lose no sleep over my opinion on this subject.

You believe what you want and I will do the same. there are much better venues than OCN for this debate...

vaccines.....what was the last disease we actually "cured?" Polio? research vaccines and see what they are made with and then tell me you would allow your kids to be injected with that poison. I have a childhood friend who smoked 3 packs a day for 20 years and was dignosed with inoperable cancer,,,after chemo almost killed her, she went with Hydrogen peroxide iv treatment and in less than 6 months the Cancer was gone! Modern medicine is about $$$ and nothing else.

As far as the pyramids....have you ever been on a modern construction site? OMG!!! there isn't a 90 degree angle to be found! The sheer scale of modern equipment it takes to move a 200 ton object today would be impossible to replicate in a society that supposedly only has "hand tools"
