XFX R7850 Triple Monitor?

Hi guys, been wondering for awhile why i cant get three monitors working...

using hdmi to dvi to main display
dvi to vga for second display

these both work

however my third monitor doesn't work in other dvi port to vga and i read somewhere i needed a mini display port adaptor so i've bought a mini display to dvi then using dvi to vga for third monitor.

but whatever way i try the third monitor will not come up...

is this a driver issue, why can't i have 1 hdmi and 2 dvi? why isn't mini display working?

Thanks in advanced,
Jordan.

Is it possible that you may need an active display port instead of a passive one? What adapter did you buy?

Thats your problem man. I also made the same mistake when trying to set up my eyefinity setup you have to buy an active adapter.
