As for the hit reg... honestly every fps game in history I can recall everyone in a high pitched voice yelling at least at some point "BS I MY AIMER WAS RIGHT ON HIM"... I have not experienced this feeling any more or any less than any game in the past. I guess others are much more sensitive to it... but IMO the battlefield series has always sucked with on-foot gameplay. It has always felt like poo to me. BF4 for some reason feels slightly better.

Dude, I've seen people shoot and have seconds in delay on BF4 vids. Or the notorious bug where you didn't hit or reg shots on the server, for ALL PLATFORMS. I'm not talkin just PC, every platform had that "bug" for a while. BF4 had some bugs that were outrageous. I get game complexity but if it's that complex, you should have more testers. Granted you have to do something like, idk, pay for them? Oh noes, more money!

There was a lot of hit reg/bug bs in BF4 that's been reported, which shouldn't be there. All in all, they did a good job on the game but mechanics should always come first. Why is COD loosing support in it's newer releases? What's that, game mechanics? The flashy and new is great, for a while but in the long run it sucks. Granted we (at least my gen) grew up in an age where diversity was all over. So now they have to try and please this older crowd with the newer crowd. Thing is, every generation of newer gamers catches on to crap sooner. So eventually you are going to be left with the same crap Hollywood has to deal with. What is that? It's the same question as what's new. Nothing, as far as story/setting goes. So what's next? Solid mechanics (or new ones) to play with.

In the end, I think BF4 is too much like BF3 which is terribly a lot like BF2 and eventually comes down to having a lot in common with 1942 mods. Same crap every time, at least the basics. Sure, we love the basics that's what makes BF fun. Then don't release a game every 2-3 years, or even every 3-4 years. Do a 5+ year cycle and update the thing. What's that? CS (original) had 50k players today. Why? I'm guessing the game is patched, updated/balanced, treated right. Like we used to have. Now it's all on the "new" bandwagon. Screw it, I'd rather have a game that's solid and I know doesn't make me look worse because of their inability to support it long term (or at all). And that's why the user base for older games is so much larger.

Of course, the mentality is to make money. Who cares if the person sticks with the game, just make sales and call it a day. Capitalism at it's finest.

They want more money... what professional company doesn't? Jumping from an ad on the loading screen to pop-up ads IN-GAME is an asinine and illogical jump. Some of the big bosses are greedy, but not stupid... they know how much they can milk the populace for, even the complain bunch (many examples provided...), and they also know limits. In-game pop-ups would require a lot more than simply having them 'pop-up'... not worth the expenditure and would immediately alienate the fanbase since they couldn't actually PLAY uninterrupted now. Though loading ads are annoying, they don't interfere with gameplay in any way. If they start forcing you to load at a certain rate to maintain ad exposure, THAT is a line we all agree should not be crossed.

I think they did this so they can get back the money they lost because of all the problems. I guess I don't mind. Feed the devs, they need to fix bugs.

the devs will get their salaries regardless. This is purely for padding the wallets of the EA higher-ups, and nothing more.

Anyone saying the game is fine in its current state is delusional and ironically doesn't have access to the myraid of sites that point these faults out, game is broken, that's that. Is this a last minute cash grab? Bet your arse on it.

Really, this is why I find myself coming to OVERCLOCK NET less and less, stupid statements like this, Syrillian and the people that made this site what it is are now are sorely missed.

Lmao, regardless of the fact you only joined 3 years ago... Good counter argument.

...actually the more I think about this statement the more offended I am. How dare you speak for someone that has passed on in detriment to myself. That is unfair and wrong on so many levels.

I have an opinion, and I am more than well prepared to back it up with arguments and evidence... If you cared to look at just a few of my posts previous to the one you quoted you will see some of them already. If you would like me to elaborate more, then challenge me. Do not attack me with ridiculously unfair statements.

Not surprised, but there will still be people who don't care and continue to support this type of practice by EA. Like the willfully numb who spend $60 on Madden year after year just for a roster update. Two words come to mind regarding current state of gamers, hedonistic apathy.

When people ask why is EA such a horrible and corrupt company, the fault is not with EA but the people to continue to throw money at them and support their practice. Until gamers actively vote with their wallets and show some self-control nothing will ever change.
