Were all trolling fanboy's if we simply dont just love everything EA publishes? That is beyond logical reasoning

Your ability to quickly generalize anyone that doesnt desire to support EA's latest practices as "joining the hate band wagon" is insulting.

Just as it would be insulting to mention anyone that supports these practices are being paid by EA, or just ignorant fanboys that will purchase anything published by EA.

I think it would be best if you keep your points focused to tangible facts along with your stance on them as opposed to generalizing in the fashion you have.

You rip yourself off if you spend that much cash and only get 3 years...I bought a 260 for $50 and it lasted me almost 4 years at max settings on majority of games. Then I bought a 7850 1GB for $120 (sale + sold coupon) which will last me 1-2 years until I need to overclock it to buy me another 1-2 years tongue.gif

I played BF4 a lot this weekend and didn't see any ads. Strange. Where are they suppose to be?

Ads have been not only in loading screens, but in the games themselves, forever! Just as others have pointed out. I really loved the CD-ROM version of Loom. A really short game, but when it came out, point-&-click andventure gaming was in it's golden age and Loom was just mesmerizing.

For sports games, I actually really like in game advertising (billboards, banners, etc on Stadium/Arena) which adds a realistic element to the game. It's like watching a tv broadcast, but I'm playing. Doesn't bother me.

I've seen product placement in games before, but not outright ads. Unless you count depictions of IRL ads in-game, which isn't too bad IMHO.

I'm yet to know of a paid-for "AAA" game that has stuck ads in the loading screen after release though. Pretty cheap shot by EA, if they arent there anymore I guess they backtracked.

Here is my opinion on this.
Product placement concerning other games or related material cleverly placed in a game done so it does not detract from the game itself is fine.

This is billboards, street signs, maybe graffiti on walls.

What I really don't want to see are pop up Windows or banner ads about completely unrelated products anywhere in my game or in the case of Bf4 directly on the battle log webpage. If it detracts from my view of the game I don't want to see it, especially if it isn't directly related to the game.

Seeing promotions for new content in Bf4 for Bf4, completely fine.

Seeing car movies... not fine.

Keep advertisements at the platform level, origin, steam, uplay.

When I'm leading into a Bf4 game to blast tanks and cause devastation I don't want to see a My Little Pony Adventures Promo.

As funny as that would first be.
There are clever ways to do things and there are obnoxious irritating ways. Be clever!

Am I just lucky, or what? I have hardly any problems with this game, and haven't found the ads mentioned in this thread, despite hunting for them.

Does anyone know if it's possible to sell Origin games or maybe the entire Origin account? I have Battlefield 4, Titanfall and Crysis 3 that I wanna sell. I heard you can sell your account but not sure.
