Dropping DVI is a mistake when all the Korean 1440p are DVI.

Another thing to note is HDMI 2.0 supports 4K at 60Hz but anything before that supports 30Hz max. HDMI also has royalties involved. Note that not even the newly launched GTX 750 TI has HDMI 2.0.

Displayport 1.2 supports 60Hz 4K.

Nope DVI will be extinct within the next few years. I can't find the link because im at work on my phone. DP and HDMI will be the only connectors for the 4k+ "era" so yeah.

750ti is an odd ball. Im hoping that 880/390 will be different since they are flagship cards coming out q3/q4

No GPUs with HDMI 2.0 AFAIK

All GeForce GTX 600 and 700 series GPUs can support 4K resolutions through DisplayPort.

Makes sense since Displayport 1.2 is necessary for G-SYNC

AMD has also confirmed that all of its current products support the DP 1.2 HBR2 link rates and as such are ready for 4K 60Hz single stream displays when they become available.

& MST hub.

Powercolor's version of this would be so baller and won't have to be watercooled. Hopefully, they get properly binned chips.

Yeah, I'm sure 4k+ will use only HDMI and DP, but I'm also sure they'll keep DVI around for a while for legacy support. I mean, even VGA ports are still around... rolleyes.gif

DP to DVI adapator???

DP is just a more advanced version of DVI since DP has all the protocols and abilities of DVI.

Also I haven't seen VGA on GPU's (Gaming Grade or higher) for quite a few years

More accurately, people started to notice stuttering with the HD5970.

Ask Alatar about his 4870X2's and stutter. 4 Series was horrible when it came to stutter. It was unbearable at times

Had two 6850s. Those cards gave me so many headaches.... the stuttering was horrible, but drivers at that time where even worse....
