I have the rosewill capstone 750m, i love it it runs quiet, never heats up, and the cables are pretty decent, the sleeving isnt the most attractive thing but you never see it with good cable managment. I would say that for the money this is one of the best power supplies that you can by right now!

Ever since I disasembled the old system and rebuilt it in my new casing, with the new psu, after some time of inactivity (I watch tv or something), I come back to the computer and every processes seem to be sugglish to non-responsive at all. Whatever i try to do with applications, I get a window "This process is unresponsive - Do you want to close now? Yes/Wait buttons". I do CTRL-ALT-DELETE and *nothing* happens! I wait and wait to see if any of the processes will regain consciousness, and in the end I have to press RESET.

Could the culprit be the power supply? It's the only new item per say. Or could it be a bad connection I did, I plugged something wrong? (would surprise me everything would be 100% working until I just go afk for 30 mins...) Any thougths? thinking.gif

It may be the low power mode/ or the sleep settings on your computer! I had a similar issue when I overclocked, my guess is under low power modes these power supplies sip power!

So my fix was to just turn the power saving features on in the bios, now I don't have any issue when waking my computer up from sleep.

It would have been a GREAT guess, but I actually completly disabled any kind of sleeping features years ago (and even rechecked), so it can't be that. I watched some tv again, and nothing crashed, so fingers crossed for now. I also ran Spybot Search & Destroy, just in case, it did clear some things, don't think it could have been related to that, who knows.

Will keep you posted, if it happens again. smile.gif

Pretty sure it's a Super Flower, it's a good PSU, I've contemplating buying one on a few occasions but never pulled the trigger.

i would say go for it! well if you need a power supply that is.
i had to get a new psu and this one is really awesome, reading a bunch of reviews on it and it delivers really clean power, and it is the quietest thing in my system, and the textured finished is really nice and durable and does not attract fingerprints at all!

I'm having 2-3 random system lockups per day, I'm able to alt-tab, check my GMAIL, but ctrl-alt-del doesn't load the task manager at all. If I try to load a new program, nothing happens. The system is running but basically I can do a handful of things. What could be doing this? It's only since I switched the power supply that I get those lockups. Just a few minutes ago I had another one, pressed reset, and upon Windows loading, I got a constant usb-connection noise, over and over, as if it kept discovering a new usb device. I had to unplug some cables behind my computer until I unplug one cable that made it stop (then replugged it and everything was alright).

Could it be a fluctuation in power that makes the usb port(s) malfunction? Could it be one of the screws under the mobo that makes "freegames" like that? Everything is the same as before, except the casing switch (and the new videocard, but I had the problem before the new card)... cryingsmiley.gif
