[OC3D] First look at Corsair 760T - Page 6

Will there be a 730T with a traditional window?

I think that would be a good middleground for the naysayers.

Edit: I am still getting antsy over a preorder. This case is going to be perfect in every way for my loop, aside from 5.25" bays. I just don't use 'em rolleyes.gif.
...maybe ill put my blu-ray writer back in....

Great case, just not my sort of aesthetic.

Not at this time. If there's high demand we could consider it.

Of course, this was expected, which is one of the reasons we used the hinged mounting mechanism. So you wouldn't have to worry about aligning pegs on a door that had more flex. As it is the door is extremely heavy and solid, but has more flex than steel does.

Steel is great unless you want to look through it.

Made me lol hard smile.gif

I think the case looks good and am kicking myself for recently buying another switch 810. This would be perfect for a small custom water loop with 2 x 240 rads and a bay res. CorsairGeorge take my Switch 810 in on trade please thumb.gif

I would buy a mATX version for sure! This looks like a very nice case.

There's starting to be a blurry line between what constitutes a full review and what constitutes an unboxing/first look.

Right now that line seems to be "did you install hardware into it" but I have to be honest, I'm not sure what the community prefers.

Obviously it's no good to anyone to get reviews weeks and weeks before the product is available on shelves, which is why embargo dates usually exist. To keep reviews closer to retail availability - otherwise no matter how cool a product it is, all it does is anger you that you can't get the thing yet. Like if they announced a mind-controlled phone with a holographic display for $99, but it was not going to be available until 2025 or something. Cool tech, but what's the point?

What do you guys think: should we allow early unboxings before embargo dates? Or should we put a hard limit on the embargo dates for all first looks/unboxings/in-depth reviews so everyone's held to that same standard?

You should allow finished product reviews as soon as possible. Why? Because people plan their builds ahead of time depending in most cases on what they are building and their budget. Seeing a case coming that is the perfect fit (or price) will have most builders willing to wait a few weeks for the perfect case.

I've had instances where I built a system and a month later a case came out that wowed me. If I had known it was coming (or at least had a good look at it), I would have waited.

But what's the max time between allowing reviews and actual retail availability? 1 month? 2?
Anyone that's a fan of Corsair has seen this case at CES.
http://hexus.net/tv/show/2014/01/CES_2014_Live_Corsair_Graphite_Series_760T

and Corsair already built in it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHDHkKycO_c

Tiny Tim's video was more of theatrics.

It doesn't look look like there's a filter on bottom frown.gif

The $139 question is can this take on Phanteks' Enthoo Luxe.

I think this looks very nice aesthetically, but functionality is probably going to go to the Entoo Luxe (which also seems to have less plastic on front). For one, anyone into performance is going to prefer those 140mm Phanteks SP fans rather than Corsair sleeve bearing LED AF140s.

Well obviously. I was just surprised by your reaction to our reactions if that makes sense.
