I suspect the Alphacool blocks actually. The EK blocks are quite simple and should be pretty free flowing. The GPU block looks like a universal type and I believe they can be higher restriction than average.

It seems odd though that at say 3/4 GPM the restriction of all blocks would not have dropped enough. The flow meter itself looks like it may contribute a bit more than average too.

But do you really think that loop could push higher than 4.5PSI? You'd need upwards of 4.7-5PSI to go to .6GPM. I just don't see that happening with that setup. The GPU and CPU block aren't going to push more than 3PSI @ 1gpm and 3PSI drop is WAY overestimating the pressure drop, and I just don't see a chipset, NB, rad, and flowmeter pushing upwards of 2PSI pressure drop but maybe I'm wrong.

I'm not sure what you mean?

The restriction in some blocks can drop by nearly half at 0.75GPM vs 1GPM. For others its less pronounced but still significant.
At 0.5GPM the pressure drop can be as little as 25% of what it was at 1GPM.
Others, like CPU blocks are more linear so that if flow drops 25% so does the pressure drop.

At 0.6 GPM flow the pressure drop should be far less than at 1. So, how do 4 blocks and the other bits add up to over 4 1/2 PSI drop at that low a flow? That is all I mean.
If they were averageish blocks or say 1PSI drop each at 1 GPM, at 0.75GPM they should be at most 0.75PSI each or 4 PSI total.
To get down 0.6 GPM flow then each block and the meter would have to be nearly 2psi drop at 1GPM

Exactly my point, he should be able to get around 1gpm with that setup. There's gotta be some obstruction in the loop preventing proper flow.

Well he's also getting absurdly high temps for that setup. I mean a single 360 on that setup will run hot but 50C is just crazy. @ .6GPM he might be having problems with laminar flow on the XT45 which could explain the crazy high temps.

I think some slightly higher speed fans and the rad not up against the back of the PC might make a decent difference. An idle water temp 10C above ambient is crazy. My flow rate auto drops to 2 LPM at idle and my delta is like 2.5C at 800RPM

Koolance flow meter is bad settings tubing right settings is 3/8id (13/10mm) new flow setting see 0.7-0.8gpm or 2.7-2.9lpm oscilating numbers

What is yours conclusions.

1. New pump D5 + XT45 rad
2. New pump D5 + old DDC +XT45radiator
3. DDC + new radiator XSPC RX360 V3
4. DDC+ XT45 + XSPC RX360 V3

and bad conclusions

D5 pump + new radiator XSPC RX360 V3

- 260Euro in my budget
