confusiom: amd, lightboost and vg248qe

Hello! Can someone answer a few questions for me please ?

I did a search and couldn't find what I'm searching for, not on Oct.net and not on Google

1. There is some sort of monitor hack(stroblelight) that supposedly makes the game seem smoother... Is this true ?

2. What would be better, counter strike global offensive on 120hz with lightboost or 144hz without? As far as I know you can't have storblelight at 144hz?

3. Can the hack cause any damage to the display? Such as dead pixels or degrade colors?

4. Can it cause damage over time ?

Thanks for your help in advance! - really curious

1. Yes. I run it myself it makes games noticeably smoother.
2. 120Hz lightboost is signifcantly smoother than 144hz
3. No, as far as we know currently it will not damage your display. However, it will "wash" out the colors a bit. However, this can be corrected with an ICC profile.

This site will give you all the information you need. http://www.blurbusters.com/

As far as working with AMD, as far as I know it won't. It uses a Nvidia proprietary technology and exploits it.
