im ryly surprised how there was only one comment about skyrim o.0 it's by far one of nicest rpgs with good graphs (not to mention witcher ofc)

Skyrim with all hi-res mods sometimes kicks my gtx 770 down to 25 fps biggrin.gif

Wow - thread has gone on for 3 pages and finally someone has mentioned the ME trilogy set. Man what's wrong with you guys? The ME trilogy is one of the best there if you want games with good stories. To the OP, if you are patient you can get this game for really cheap. There were atleast 2 sales on the trilogy set last year - around $12-15 for the entire set if my memory serves me correctly. (One of them was on Amazon). I don't even know why you're bothering to buy games on Steam to begin with. The only time I buy from Steam store is when they have their annual summer & winter sales. And even then their sale prices can be really lackluster. I've scored some sweet deals through places like GameFly; GMG; Amazon.

The 2nd FEAR was a huge disappointment from the first game. I bought FEAR 3 when Newegg had it on sale last year (it was free after rebate). I've read some of the reviews on the interwebz.... doesn't really look that enticing to me. I've got so many games in my backlog that i still haven't gotten around to installing it.

Max Payne 1,2, & 3? H4ll yeah. I have all of them.

The season pass for Metro LL is definitely worth it. Some of the DLC is really good, some isn't. Kshatriya is the best.

Only one person recommended Skyrim because the OP said he didn't like it, and it's not a story driven game like he wants. The Witcher games are far from great RPGs; the second one is a good game, there's a distinction to be made there. You should read this before making that claim again.

Mass Effect was recommended quite a few times in this thread, but I second that. The third game cannot be acquired from Steam though; it requires Origin, but it's worth it.

Steam has a few very good deals, but indeed you should check out other stores as well. Amazon digital has great deals too, and so do Greenmangaming and Humble Bundles.

You're right - i went back to the beginning & see that you had mentioned it in post # 7.

At any rate regarding Steam, I feel like most of the stuff there is a complete ripoff - which is why i only bother to shop there during their annual winter/summer sales. Every once in a blue moon, they will have a sale on one particular game that is so out of the ordinary, that it's hard to pass up. For instance, The Walking Dead Season # 2 was released in Jan or Feb. I noticed just recently (maybe around 2 weeks ago) that they were having a sale on it (33% off). I was really surprised by that because S2 has only been out for 3 months now .... Steam RARELY ever puts new releases on sale with that much of a discount.

As far as shopping on sites like GameFly, yeah I already mentioned that above in my previous post. I wait for good sales to pop up; usually with coupon codes, you can games there really dirt cheap. Not on the new release stuff - but slightly older that have been around for a few years. I got LA Noire from them last year for only $6. Again, I've got so many games in my backlog I still haven't installed it. My co-worker who is a big time gamer has played it - he's the one that convinced to buy it in the first place. He likes games with good story lines.

Yeah GMG is the best store to go to if you want new games for a discounted price, though I hear Amazon has such sales too. Steam rarely does it. The best times to shop on Steam are during the Christmas sales and summer sales, though their black Friday/cyber Monday sales have a few good deals too. Just be sure to use the wishlist feature, since they're supposed to email you when something on your wishlist goes on sale.

Normally I would agree with you on that 110%!

I just checked on Steam because I was curious what the price difference would be. Steam is actually having a daily sale on it RIGHT NOW! It's only $9.99. Wow. couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that. i had to refresh the page just to be sure.

Metro Last Night $9.99

Metro Franchise Pack $13.74

Get it while it lasts - the sale ends today in about 40 minutes.

It ends in 40 hours actually, but definitely get it. Get the Franchise Pack and the Season Pass for Metro LL.
