I would buy the Ultimate Pack instead of buying just the original game by itself. As far as worth buying, absolutely yes, one of if not the best rpg still to this day.

Awakening is a completely huge game in itself, definitely worth buying and it's really fun to see the game from the dark spawn perspective.

Dies it have a good story? Ben? I like games like Metro 2033, Far cry 3, Hitman Absolution, Tomb Raider, Half Life, etc.

Yes, the story is very well done and keeps you wanting to play, it's a BioWare game smile.gif You will sink 80 hours into the game for sure with expansions. Ranks up there with KOTOR games for story. Witcher series are also great stories.
