Hi from a 100% newbie!

Hey there,

New to the site (obviously) and completely new to Overclocking. I've known about overclocking for a while and what it does but I've never had a PC capable of doing it. Well...now I do and I'd really like to get the most out of it. I stumbled across this site by chance by doing Google searches on overclocking. Everything I've found on OC'ing seems sooooo damn complicated.

Is there anyone here that can point a newb in the right direction? thumb.gif

Hi! You have a pretty nice system, but I can't find any information about how easy it is to overclock components with your motherboard. That said, the good news is, your CPU is very easily overclockable, since it is a "K" and so is multiplier unlocked. smile.gif Good luck! thumb.gif

Thanks. That is some great news.

The only things is I'm not exactly sure where to start. Everything on overclocking seems so complicated to me and I'm afraid to mess up my system.

Do you know of any easy, "How-To's"?

I did some Googling and it looks like someone has a similar system to yours and has a guide for overclocking. smile.gif

Maybe 99% newbie , but definitely not 100% . Hell knowing what it is and that it is available is a step forward.
