NEED HELP WITH SPECIAL PROJECT

Hey All,

I have a kind of special project heading my way and I need some help on setting it up. So first, here is what I am looking for in the out come. I would like to set up a surround sound system in my bedroom and put 4 speakers in the top corners in my room. connect those speakers to a receiver or home theater system chilling in the closet. I would like to have the receiver/ht turn on automatically at a given time of the day to play whatever I have set to play. So I am looking for a receiver that will act like a coffee pot or sprinkler system turn on and play music with given time then turn off with given time.

I am looking for a device but the closest I can come are alarm clocks. I don't want an alarm clock since I will not be able to hook up speakers to it, also alarm clocks have to be turned off manually. I thought of buying a receiver and hooking up a tablet or something that had that kind of feature but I don't want to have to worry about power staying on all the time. and dedicating a tablet to chill there as that would be its sole purpose. (waist of money)

Please I know this is an unusual request and I don't know what to exactly look for. Any help would be great. I don't need top dollar gear. just enough to do the job.

Very Respectfully
Delta

A timer I think could work for the basic I am asking for. Maybe if I go further and try to request to see if I can start the sound off soft and then gradually bring it to a comfortable level?

If your audio system won't do that by itself, then there's no way to make it work.
The only thing you're controlling with a timer is the connection to the mains.
