Determining loudest components? - Page 2

Sorry, I've been trying to find my motherboard's manual and didn't think to look online rolleyes.gif

I'm confused regarding the fan splitter because each of my three case fans only have this type of cable (4-pin Molex connectors, I believe they're called). Would I need to purchase two different sets of wires just to plug them into my motherboard? I can't find anything on Newegg that's 4-pin Molex to 4-pin header. Plus, it looks like I'd have to find cables with 3-pin headers, as well, since there's only one 4-pin header on the motherboard (SYS_FAN1).

It seems easier to just buy fans with lower max RPMs and/or make one fan of the three push a larger amount of air (sacrifice silence for higher CFM/RPMs to ensue gaming rig stays cool).

Thought so, thanks [Zap]. I went ahead and purchased two of these guys. Ended up being $30 total as I got extremely lucky Newegg had just sent me an e-mail that day with a 20% off coupon on select case fans. I was very pleased with how the transaction turned out and can't wait for these fans!

Thanks for all of the help, guys. I got really bummed out that my desktop was suddenly plagued with all of these issues, but, being optimistic about the fans, I can finally cross something off my list thanks to your help thumb.gif

EDIT: If there's no objection, I won't mark this as "Solved" until I make sure the new fans are working properly.
