Alphacool vs EK - Radiators

Thread Starter
I am filling my frozen.cpu shopping cart and was going for an all EK build. Unfortunately I am using a 560 radiator in the bottom of the case and EK does not make that size. I was initially going to just go Alphacool for the bottom rad and an EK for the 480 top rad. I like uniformity so should I just go dual Alphacool and everything else stay with EK?

It would depend on what you are after in your system, and what EK Rads you were looking at.

Some of the EK's have very high FPI (Fins per inch) and those require a higher RPM fan with a good static pressure (which means more NOISE) to work well. Some of the EK's are low FPI , and will work well with low RPM fans... less NOISE)

The Alphacools typically have low FPI, and are excellent radiators.

560's I am aware of are The AlphaCools, two by Black Ice (one low FPI SR1, and a higher FPI Extreme) and the Phobya, Coolgate, and XSPC 560's (which I have no info on)

Check out this for some good radiator reviews... he hasn't done a 560, but the info on the different makes and models can be interesting.
