Absolutely WRONG.

Mionix Naos 7000* fixed that for you.

Don't ever recommend a laser mouse when there is an optical mouse with exactly the same shape available. Just don't.

Ah didn't even realize that the same mouse was available with optical. No issues here but if it needs replacing I'll grab that one.

The ADNS-9800 in that mouse has inconsistent positive acceleration, like all Avago laser sensors. You may not feel it but it'll always be there. At least you know where to go now when it dies if it dies.

TBH unless you play shooters on a competitive level the acceleration doesnt matter. I dont play shooters anymore and I dont feel that my capacities are impaired by my laser mice. It's also much nicer not to care about it because most of the great mice out there are laser.

IMO its much more important to find a comfortable mice than a 100% accurate mice.

The ouroboros is just bad, not worth any price.

My opinion about laser vs optical is simple though. When there's a technically superior technology, you should be looking at shapes that work for you within that technology first, obviously. Only when that fails should you really resort to laser mice. It just makes sense.

Despite me never using this mouse I can pretty much guess that the hump being in the middle will make it feel like every other mouse out there. I really want something with the hump more towards the BACK then the middle.

There's more factor influencing the tracking quality than the sensor alone.

And subjective topic is subjective. What may work for you may not work for someone else.

The Steelseries Rival is the one that comes closest to doing that
