Upgrade Rig - Advice for Water Cooling + Fan Set Up

Hey everyone. I'm going to be upgrading my 3 year old rig this coming week and I need some advice on cooling. With my first rig that I'm using now, I didn't really care about cooling that much since I wasn't planning on OCing or Fan Control or anything of the sort due to not having any knowledge on the subject.

With this upgrade, I do plan on looking into OCing and with that involved, I know cooling is a huge thing to look out for. First worrying about anything else, I do want to have the fan and cooling layout set up before I get all the parts in and ordered. The rig that I'll be working with is listed below:
  • Motherboard: MSI-Z87-G45 or ASUS Z87-PRO LGA 1150 (Nor 100% sure yet)
  • CPU: i7 4770k
  • CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
  • Extra Fans: Noctua NF-F12 x2 - Replacing stock H100i fans
Extra Fans 2: Corsair AF120 Quiet Two Pack (Maybe? Not sure if I'm going to buy these or use the 2nd stock H100i fan)
  • RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB DDR3 2400
  • Storage: Crucial M500 - 480GB SSD
  • Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX780 SuperClocked w/EVGA ACX Cooler 3GB
  • Hard Drive: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB
  • Power: CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W
  • Case: COOLER MASTER 690II Advanced

As you can see, I'll be working with the H100i and I plan on having it installed on the top of my case while replacing the loud stock fans with 2 Noctua NF-F12 fans.

I'm not entirely sure what the best set up is for the radiater + fans for the H100i.

Exterior: 2 Noctua NF-F12 Fans on Exhaust
Interior: Radiator

Now aside from that, I'm also wondering how many other fans I should have in the case and how I should have the airflow. I did a quick mock up on what I think I should do, of course I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

The yellow - - - - indicates where a fan will be and the title near it is the fan that will be there.

seems good I would avoid MSI though and go towards gigabyte asus or asrock. MSI has a really bad failure rate and atrocious RMA department

So I've heard from other forums as well. Many told me to just go with ASUS since they tend to hold up better. I'll probably fork out the little extra cash for the ASUS Z87-PRO instead of a MSI.

Yeah but depending on specific mobos like for instance ASRock z87 OC formula and z87m oc formula are ridiculously good overclocking boards with a 5year warranty and I think i got my z87m for 165

I'll look into it as far as MOBO goes. I was considering ASRock at first as well so I'll have to decide soon.

Bump - Looking to hear from other members as well!

Ordered everything and got it all delivered today. I I changed a couple of things here and there.

Will have to set up the entire rig later this week when I got the time. Will be sure to post up the finished build.
