What about the Shiden Kai? I know for a fact that I can get one of those, not guaranteed for the 5L though.

Its amazing its like glass but its soft enough that you don't get fatigue from prolonged use.. great for gaming ultra low friction

If it will have a problem it will be in the description.. It will say it has a problem witheither lazers or optical. I can confirm it works fine with the steelseries rival goodness(optical).
I had some of that gliding issue at first but i havent noticed it anytime other than that
