UK Delta Fan Suppliers?

Thread Starter
Hi folks,

Want to go a bit mental and throw some serious high CFM high speed fans in my PC, looking for some of the Delta 120mm ones as they seem to be what im looking.

Problem is, they seem nearly impossible to find in the UK, or a UK supplier, was wondering if anyone knows of a supplier selling them?

Many thanks,

Mike. thumb.gif

IIRC, OCN has a UK branch. Perhaps if you registered there and asked your Q, they might know.

Ebay is the best bet for deltas in the UK. Koolance did a re-brand of a delta but I could not find it.

Delta's are LOUD, I hope you are prepared for that. At a previous IT company I worked for, we purchased some to put into our servers in our server room. They were so loud we could hear them upstairs and across the entire office. So if you don't mind the sound of a jet engine in your room 24/7 then by all means get them. They, in my opinion, are only good for data center applications or server rooms that are sound proofed.

He is exactly right.....I originally bought some Delta's for my rig because I had the same mindset as you and thought, what the hell it won't be that bad! Trust me....my delta's are now sitting in a closet waiting to be resold. It's as loud as running an industrial grade vacuum all the time. They are great if you truly need the power but for almost any home PC especially if you are just gaming or something on it......I do not suggest them.

If you're not necessarily looking for specific Delta models in particular and just want high-quality industrial fans of very high rpms and noise levels, Farnell has Sanyo Denki San Aces (bare 2 wires).

Deltas come in all sizes and speeds. Just because the above bought loud ones does not mean that all are loud. Delta's specs include noise ratings, and those will be accurate.

Your trouble in finding Delta fans is that they sell to businesses, not consumers. The reason Farnell has San Ace fans is that they signed up to distribute them (if you drill down through their press releases, it was 2006 or so). But don't buy two-wire fans from anyone, unless they are surplus and really cheap.

Good luck. Be sure to report back where you find them, if you do.
