OMG IE9 need help!

Thread Starter
So I am the type of person who leaves my computer on 24/7 or it is in ''SLEEP'' mode.. I NEVER SHUT DOWN (or try not to at least)

What I was doing for the last week or so is very important to me and my computer has been in this ''always on'' state for months now...

Recently I had a family member move in and after weeks of stressing the fact that I need her to NOT TOUCH MY COMPUTER she does..

Now im in a position where all of my ''browsing history'' is gone and the ''restore previous session'' does not work because of her!!!

HOW CAN I RESTORE MY INFORMATION??? I really need these webpages!!

I was using Chrome aswell and was able to go in to history and it is displayed page by page but the important stuff was in IE9!!

I'm not sure that you can get your IE history back, but I do have some suggestions for the future:

  1. Password protect your Windows user account.
  2. Use Mozilla Firefox with the Session Manager plug-in.

Facedesk. If information is that important, don't rely on a single mechanism to store it.

If you were using chrome and assuming you were always logged into your google account you can request google to give you a list of all the last 7 days activities that was transmitted thru the chrome browser.

I canntit say they will comply but they do record ip destinations and email traffic as long as you are logged into that google account.

LULZ! So your saying your family member saw your browser history and was grossed out with what she saw and deleted everything. Kill all the things!

If you were Google to search those websites AND you were logged into your google account in IE AND if you had browser history you can do that. In your Google account under www.google.com/settings/dashboard there should be something for browser history if you had it on.

Now would be a good time to create a Windows profile for her and password protect your account.
