2 loops in series, do I need to directly connect the reservoirs.

Now due to a "wrong internal connection" I cannot redo right now unless I take it apart about 25% of my system I will need to run the system as one big loop with 2 pumps and revoirs etc. So the initial two loops I wanted to do are connected front to back.

Now I have a question regarding the two reservoirs. I have set both pumps (D5 vario) to setting number 2. But of course they won't run perfectly the exact same. I am worried that after a while one reservoir will be filled to the brim and the other one being almost empty.

Is this a valid worry of me? If so would making a direct connection between the two reservoir fix this?

I don't understand your dual loop idea. And your dual pump/res idea either.

Can you draw a diagram of your loops?

Also, if one res gets full and the other empty, you just top up the empty one. No big deal.

I wanted two separate loops: res - pump d5 vario - 480 rad - 4 cpu blocks (opterons) and back to the res and the other one is basically the same but 4 ram waterblocks.

But due to a connection error by me after the first loop it drops the coolant in the other res and visa versa creating one big loop.

If the fluid is moving from one res to the other, it's not a dual loop, just a split loop.
And I would not separate them. A single split loop is more efficient than two seperate ones.
Just keep filling your empty res until there are no air pocket left in either res.

But as the loop bleeds and bubbles travel from your rads and blocks to your res, the water level will keep dropping for a while. This is normal.

Just top up both your reservoirs every day, and the issue will go away when the loop is bled out.
