Should I Crossfire this setup?

Thread Starter
I'm thinking of crossfiring this, will it be worth it?
AMD Athlon X4 760 at 3.8ghz
Sapphire Radeon R7-265 2gb
8gb adata ddr3
Msi a78m-e45 mobo

So should I crossfire it?

Also, do I have to crossfire it with another 265?

Resolution?psu?

Cpu wise you would need 4.6ghz+ for being bottleneck free of a r7 265 cfx.you can make crossfire with r9 270x/270/r7 265 /hd 7870/7850

psu is fractal design Integra r2 650w. Res: Monitor: 1600x900 (upgrading soon to 1080+) so would it be worth it?

i see no point in x-firing until you can hit that clock speed

At 1080 yes because it would decrease the bottleneck, for less resolution doesnt worth

You have no particular need to crossfire here, especially with R7-265s; I would bump that Athlon up to a Phenom 965BE, at the least. A crossfire with your current system will inevitably lead to bottlenecks on the CPU's part.

phenom II x4 has similar performance as that athlon at stock speeds/turbo
