Final Fantasy IX, Earthbound (Maybe, you'd have to use an emu though, unless you want to pay 100USD for a used SNES cartridge) . Might want to Pick up dissidia 012 {duodecim} Final Fantasy on PSP, use a PSP Emu if you don't own a PSP

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is something that I'd recommend if you really like a storyline and don't feel like starting the Mass Effect Trilogy.

The graphics aren't that good for a modern game but It's a really nice game if you like the magic/medieval style games. Kinda like Skyrim. Different races, fun gameplay mechanics and a beautiful looking world that completely changes from place to place.

Ignore what your heard, but I HIGHLY suggest you read up on ME1's story and edit your ME2 save to your taste if you don't want to play ME1.

There's a lot of conflict over FO3 vs NV, but the general consensus seems to be that NV's quests are indeed more structured and connected, while FO3 has more/better environmental details. Some people like NV better, I liked 3 more.

Ok so I have Mass Effect 1 on the list now and Fallout: New Vegas, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey passed me by and looks very interesting to, Psychonauts and Cave story on the list as well.I have to be in the right mood to play horror games so Penumbra and Amnesia are noted as well.

Good shouts here, missed most of these apart from Deus Ex which is in the OP;)

I also played Kingdoms of Amalur but it just wasn't my bag. As far as Snes games go well, I have heard of a lot of the games you are talking about over the years, particularly Chrono Trigger and I'm making notes here just in case I fancy them in the future..

Thanks for all the suggestions that should keep me busy a while !

Some of the DLC on New Vegas can be quite funny and entertaining at times, so don't forget to check those out. I liked them better than the main story, though some of the DLC seems like a really strung out task without much to gain. My personal favorite was old world blues for its quirky humor.

Did you every try Fallout 3? New Vegas is good, but I think 3 had a better main and side stories and more immersive environment. New Vegas offers more options main story wise, but some reason I just didn't care for any of them, all of the endings made you evil in some way and not everyone wins. Also, prety sure Fallout 3 is allot larger map than NV with more to explore and find.

With NV's DLC, I recommend playing it in this order:

1) Honest Hearts (less connected than the others, can also be quite boring so I recommend rushing it if it starts to bore you)
2) Old World Blues
3) Dead Money
4) Lonesome Road

What's most important is Lonesome Road has to be finished last. New Vegas has much more content than FO3, I'm not sure which has the bigger map but NV has more marked locations and far more quests. The world in New Vegas is less detailed and less dangerous than that of Fallout 3 however.

New Vegas doesn't have clear cut happy and evil endings like Fallout 3, the story is much more clever and this is one of the reasons why. Every route you take has consequences. There's really not much to the writing of Fallout 3, it's very shallow. New Vegas has some excellent dialogue and characters though.

I did try Fallout 3 for quite a few hours, main quest didn't really excite me and I tend to get lost and bored if the 'sandbox' is to big and the story/characters/setting doesn't interest me very much. I will probably just get the New Vegas ultimate or GOTY collection with all the DLC though smile.gif
