Quick Crossfire 4670 512 + 1gb question

Thread Starter
Hey,

So i have an Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 512MB GDDR3 PCIE card, and has the crossfire cable contact on the top. and im about to buy this card "ATI HD 4670 1GB GDDR3"
I have an picture of the card here:

Just wondering what card this is actually? I see a picture of the box too, and has no branding on it, just "ATI" everywhere..is this a reference card? and will it work with Crossfire with my other card? Im guessing crossfire will be done by the motherboard and not the actual Crossfire/SLI Connection bridge anymore? Because I cant see one on this card yet it says MultiGPU CrossfireX support...
Thank you!

Oem.and probably the crossfire wont suffix the high vram demand on these days.since the usable vram will be 512mb

If you're paying more than $20 you're throwing away your money. The limited slow vram, outdated directx support, blech.

The best suggestion would be to run the 1gb card as the primary and you might get to use the whole 1gb of vram.

Looks like a Diamond card. A newer card would be better than a 4670 or a CF 4670. Oh and just for reference, you can CF two 4670 cards without a CF bridge. wink.gif

Only play CS: Source, CS: Go, BF2, BF3/4, UT 2k4, old games lol.. Anywho. Just pickedup an Asus R7 250 1GB GDDR5.. for cheap and seemed good upgrade for me. BUT. in my testing programs, it saying that its only running at PCI-E V1.1 or when I do a render/load it goes up to V2.0, not v3 (8gb/s). the card is in my first pci-e slot in my gigabyte m70a-d3p.. is there any BIOS setting i must change ? and it also seems to run at 350 and 100 mhz clock until it goes into work at 1000 and 1150 i think. smile.gif thanks for the help.
