I dont understand his OCing' value he got

On this page the person claims he got his 760 OC'ed to that of a 670 stock.

Untitled.png 244k .png file

thats the image of him comparing his 760 to that of a 670

but the core clock and the boost clock show that the 760 is higher than the 670.

doesnt that mean even when he didnt oc his 760 its still faster than the 670 stock?

Clock for clock, the 670 is faster than the 760. I think he meant he overclocked his 760 so that it was as fast (performance wise) as a stock 670.

No, because the 760 has less cores then the 670.

670: 1344
760: 1152

I think that he is unaware of this though and just goes off pure frequency being better which is wrong and may have been correct 10 years ago but it isn't today.

same reason why you can't say that 4ghz amd cpu is faster than 3.5ghz intel cpu. core clock is not everything.

can u guys explain some more? im still confsued.

and yeah the video guy meant that his OC'ed 760 is equal to a stock 670, which is what i dont get because compared to the image he gave, the stock 760 had higher core clock than the stock 670.

(so this has to do with the cores?)

and this is the video.

how do you compare which GPU is faster than?
because i thought u just look at the clock speed to see if GPU A is faster than GPU B

Core speed isn't everything; It's like why a i5 3570k at 4GHz beats a 3.5GHz 8320. The GTX670 is just a better performing card as it has the more core count, you can only compare core count on the same series of GPU aswell. I.E my R9 290 has 2560 cores, which doesn't make it more then double the performance of a GTX760 as it's a completely different architecture. The only way to compare cards that aren't identical are benchmarks and that's exactly why we have benchmraks.

the only scores he showed is the benchscore of his 760 at stock and his benchscore of his 760 at OC. he didnt show benchscore of a 670.

im assuming he knows the benchscore of a 670 then? just didnt show it on vid?
