Motherboard tools killed my connection?

I have a Z-87i Pro motherboard. It has a tools suite called AS Suite III. I installed it and now my internet doesn't seem to wan't to work. The same connection works fine on my PS3 and phone, however. I have a feeling it might have something to do with Java but I'm not sure. Both wifi and hard line, and IE and Chrome can't make a connection.

Troubleshooting says 'The remote device or resource won't accept the connection'.

Chrome tells me it's 'Unable to connect to the proxy server'.

I'm on Windows 8.1. If anyone can help I'd be hugely appreciative.

Friends don't let friends use AI Suite III biggrin.gif

When I used it, it caused some MAJOR DPC Latency issues on my PC. Anything that requires regular, timely interrupts like networking, audio and other things get messed up if one particular program with low-level access has poorly written code. In my case, I got alot of audio distortion with AI Suite III, but it's probably messing up networking on your computer.

I recommend uninstalling AI Suite III, then run the cleaner software from this link to purge that awful software from your system!

OK i uninstalled it. Still no internet though. It probably messed with proxy settings or something? I'm still getting the same error messages.

Did you run the cleaner as well?

It shouldn't touch proxy settings, but there could be some other software messing up your connection. Try booting a Linux CD/USB drive, just to rule out a hardware problem and confirm it's some software/driver issue.

Internet was running fine before I installed the suite, so I doubt it's hardware.
Something is preventing Origin from opening it's browser too...

Did you check the proxy settings? It should be set to none. Usually you only get the proxy error if a proxy is configured. If you/something change Chrome/IE it will default some applications to 'use system proxy' to the address as defined.

I think we're getting warmer. How to go about this?
