Single player results? You're joking right? Bypassing the 6 Core X5650 i linked for a 4770K is a huge mistake. In games like BF4 the extra cores would give it a huge advantage over a haswell quad especially overclocked.

Here are some single player CPU benches for BF4.

With rare exceptions of games like Crysis 3 or a large amount of RTS games...as long as you have four threads you are golden...even the old X4 was right there with the big boys and the HT dual core was right in the midst of them.

Now, I am not going to say that would be a bad idea to get the Xenon...there are other things to do on a computer other than gaming that would greatly benefit from it...plus who knows what games will be doing a year from now. It just sounds like it isn't going to accomplish the OP's current goal.

Graphics card hierarchy chart:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

It says that they wouldnt recommend upgrading the GPU unless you get 3 tiers higher, and since you are running what is essentially a quadfire setup, your gains in performance from what you have now to something else would be a smaller jump than if I upgraded for example!

it may be problematic and you may have a few issues because your 2 gb vram for each gpu core, my vote is to hold off on your upgrade!

I would sell your current GPUs and put it towards a new GPU.

yeah if you can sell it to a miner for a really good price that would be the best option..
but make sure you have a buyer before you go out and spend money on an upgrade.

Do they have the same benchmark at 2560x1440 by chance? And I didnt realize it was a single player bench. Multi is a huge difference.

here you go

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_titan_review,13.html

you can draw your own inferences since its a GTX titan tested and games like Battlefield 4 are tested. I can speak from my experience of having a

i7 950 @ 4.2ghz
6GB 1600mhz Tri Channel Ram
GTX 770 2gb card

compared too

i7 4770k @ 4.5ghz
8GB 1866MHZ Ram
GTX 770 2gb card

that the difference is very small for me playing BF4, it seems to load faster and that about it. I upgraded because I had the money though, if i did it again i would of just kept my machine the way it was and get more ram.

If you do upgrade entirely though older nehelams systems are going for a good deal, I sold my i7 950, and ram with motherboard for $350 on ebay.
