ASUS P5QL-E Overclocking Intel E8400 Duo E0: 3.8ghz wall? Need help! - Page 3

I just looked up the tinting method, I'm gonna give it a try with the Formula 7 and see how it goes, I've only ever used Arctic Silver MX-4 and MX-5 but I read the Formula 7 preforms better under overclocking. I'm sure if I apply it correctly I'll be fine with the temps as long as its "high quality" like you said. Q9650 arrives Friday and I'm excited to test it out!

I have two P5QL-E motherboards.
Great motherboards, rock stable, all extras included even RAID, but not good for overclocking.
I have installed a E5450 which could do more than 450FSB and it would not go above 410 or something.

I had a P5K-E WiFi/AP which could go at least 445 FSB with a X5450 (did not tried for more).

I have a P5Q Deluxe and a P5Q Premium.
Both can do at least 450FSB stable, tried for a just a moment 470FSB (did not tried to see if they get stable) with a E5450 and did not tried for more.

You`d better buy another motherboard if you like more than 400FSB and better buy a Xeon.
A lot better than Q9650... it will do 450FSB just like that, effortless.
A lot better and a lot cheaper too...

Well this is as high as I'll go with my P5QL-E. Can't wait until my P5Q Deluxe comes and to see what I can do with it thumb.gif
