I mean, hell, some of these issues were fixed by modders in a matter of minutes. And the publisher/dev claims it would have taken too long to test.....rolleyes.gif

read that. Kind of frustrates that publishers/developers do this....

I don't really buy that they rushed it out because pc gamers were crying about it, so much as they never had the intention of devoting much time and resources to the pc version in the first place. All about the quick dollar IMO.

They knew they had issues and they knew how to resolve them prior to release yet they didn't....

So just the frame rate, res and PC mapping? 2 of which were easily fixed with DSfix though. I can't comment on the M+KB since I only used 360 controller with it. Other than that I don't see the real problem.

Haven't you ever compared a concept car vs the actual production version?

You're missing the point. You say these problems are easily fixed by mods, which, I agree, they are. Then why were they not easily fixed by the developers in the first place?

Lazy devs need to be called out as well as their marketing gimmicks. I will never understand why customers want to protect this behavior.

Sounds like you're really grasping at straws especially with the "They didn't even compensate the fixer". That's like saying bethesda should have compensated modders for fixing their crappy dialogue and crappy textures in skyrim.

You're the one grasping at straws here bud. You're comparing standard quality textures and standard quality dialogue to a broken game. That's like comparing a brand new Toyota Camry to a 10 year old Dodge 1500 that's spewing out smoke. No offense to Dodge 1500 fans. wink.gif

Also the standard price for AAA PC games is $50. That combined with the fact that you could get Dark Souls for less than $50 on consoles when it was released on PC means that your $60 argument holds no weight.

The fact that people so willingly support and buy games from bad developers/publishers means that they will continue their bad practices. If their sales dried up because of their horrendous quality they would have no choice but to supply an acceptable product. From Software continues to dish out mediocre quality products to this day.

Probably buyer's remorse. They want to feel like they didn't get ripped off so they'll defend their purchase.

What exactly is your definition of a broken game? The game seemed very playable even with the resolution problem. You can easily read above and see the only real problem was the resolution and the key mapping so I don't have a clue as to what you think made the game "broken". Also the standard AAA game is not $50, it's actually 59.99. BF4 was 59.99, Titanfall is 59.99, AC IV was 59.99, South park is 59.99. The only game AAA game I've seen released this year at $50 was Thief.

You say that From Software dishes out mediocre products? The community of Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1 and 2 beg to differ. There's a reason why it has a growing fan base.

This guy seems like one of those individuals that if you told him 10 other problems he still wouldn't recognize the big picture issue with these publishers/developers. Do they have medication for denial?

The publisher even said the product was rushed out and pc specific features were overlooked or rather intentionally neglected.

The problem is I don't hear you guys actually stating 10 other problems to consider this game broken. Instead you're spewing BS with no evidence to actually back it up. Then again it is OCN so you can't really expect much.

Again....missing the point even with the publisher openly admitting it.

I stopped using my 360 controller after I discovered dsmfix. I would even go so far as to say it made me happier than dsfix.
