Youtube private video issue

Hey folks.

I uploaded some videos of my baby girl on youtube and made it private but shared it with my wife and mom... However my mom can not view the video even though she connects to youtube or google+ via the authorized email adress. She can see the thumbnail of the video on google+ however when she wants to play it, she gets a message that the video is private. My wife has no issues on the other hand.

Any ideas?

there are two options one where its listed and only people with the link can watch or private and only you can watch.
so select the first one.

its called unlisted

I have set it to private BUT I added the emails of the people I want to watch just below. I even added them to a google plus circle and added that circle too...

My wife, my brother in law and mom are both in that circle. My wife has NO issues watching the videos from her Samsung Note 10.1 tablet
My brother in law can not view the videos on his iphone (says private) but can view them on a laptop
My mother can not view the videos on ipad or iphone apps nor when she access google plus via safari.

sounds like maybe they arent logged into google with their email accounts.
check and see if that's the case.google is pretty flawless with youtube and gmail. not too sure about + but theres not a lot going on with that site so i highly doubt an issue would be caused there.

They are all connected to their gmail account. İt is extremely strange. I even went to mom today and checked myself and yes she was logged in with the approved email.

I am truly lost to be honest.

I wonder if there is a bug on iOS apps currently. All problems occured on iOS apps.

Yeah thats what I figured... frown.gif Sux really. I also shared lots of photos via google drive and did the same thing and it works like a charm.

I will probably have to wait for an update in this case.

A google employee wrote that they were aware of the problem and promised a fix back in June 2013, yet no fix.
