Yay or stay away? - Page 2

I'd price match the Monoprice at BB, making the move to 1440p is great and depending on how much you like the higher Hz monitors (not a huge fan as I actually like a bit of blurring /movie snob and the smooth nature of 120/144 monitors doesn't appeal to me) you won't lose much. The greater pixel density on a 27" 1440p compared to a 23/24" 1080p is one of the best things as well. There's 4k monitors coming around but as to what models BB will carry and when they'll pick them up that's TBD. Each of the 3 all have merits.

I'm losing faith in Samsung monitors for the sole fact they don't bother with VESA in a lot of their higher end monitors, that 4k one included. If anything I'd like ASUS or Ben-Q to pick up that panel and come out with a different enclosure if it isn't already the one used in the PB287Q for $800

As for the Korean monitors it's a mixed bag with a lot of people reporting good results and of course those with problems will post/share here so it'll feel like there's more things wrong with the monitors than there actually is when you read through the pages. I previously ordered 2 x Crossover 27Q 1440p monitors as auxiliaries from two different sellers on eBay and both were pristine with no dead/stuck pixels anywhere. For the Qnix overclocking, a majority reported get higher numbers than expected. I believe the lowest numbers I've seen recorded are 67hz and 87hz.

I took delivery of a Qnix QX2710 today. Of course I was worried, but after setting it up, my worries are gone. It has the lowest BLB of any monitor I have had over the years. Zero dead pixels, I couldn't hit 120hz, though, I am running at 96hz stable as can be. $325 delivered from storewithstory, ordered on Friday, got it today, that's fast from Korea. My main complaint, which is easily fixed, is the stand sucks, got one coming tomorrow from Monoprice.
