oh 1080p=1920x1080

Gotcha. Doing a build now if your still up ta check it out in a few.

Ah MAN Im tired.

haha you also picked the i7 thats not unlocked so you wont overclock very far, so you are looking for the 4770K it should be like $30 more.

never heard of the brand of your PSU, and 1000w is way overkill for what you have.
take a look at this thread it has recommended power supplies and links to reviews to a bunch of them, this is such a critical part so do your research!

the 780 is a really great card too!

other than that it looks good man!thumb.gif

Yeah Im tired. its a deal though! 1000 watts for $119!
So.. what wattage should I use for the Asus Z87 Pro? 750-850 right?..
ok try this build
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3bVrw
I exceeded the voltage on the RAM but thats not really an issue ..is it?

oops forgot to link it!

http://www.overclock.net/t/183810/faq-recommended-power-supplies

it may SEEM like a good deal, but does it use japanese capacitors? how is the voltage regulation? what is the fan like? does it deliver clean power? who makes the internals? is the 12v rail single or mutiple 12 rails? what is the max output of said 12v rails? (the 12v rail is super important as this is where your GPU draws most of its power)
this stuff used to not matter to me till i killed a power supply haha!

haha read some of the reviews and youll understand what i mean its not just about the marketing buzz words "modular, X amount of watts. ect ect" but it is 80+ which actually means something smile.gif

i dont know much but i know that this is what gives all of your expensive hardware and as the saying goes "the only thing that is "future proof" in your rig is the electricity that powers it" or something like that.

Dont mean to seem like a snob, but a junk power supply can lead to really weird problems, annoying coil whine, and dead components.

So the only power supply i can realistically recommend is the Rosewill Capstone 750m for your build, as i run it in my personal computer!
the internals are Super Flower and has 100% Japanese capacitors, modular, single 12v rail that outputs 62 amps= 744w, its super silent, and 80plus Gold, so up to 90% efficiency at half load, and 87% efficiency at 100% load.

whereas an 80plus bronze is 85% efficient at half load and only 82% efficiency at 20% or full load, so that translates to 850w and 820 watts at load, so you see what i mean about just looking at the rated output smile.gif
