If you are looking for another PSU the Cooler Master V line is pretty good. Its based off of a Seasonic unit, and is fully modular, 80+ Gold, Japanese caps, good internals. and retail is $139, a little bit more pricey, but this one is pretty good.

Theres also nothing wrong with the power supplies that he listed. the "crossfire support" just is marketing words.

theres also the chance that he has a lemon psu if his 5v rail is jacked.

hm...

Both have x8 x8 for xfire/SLI

Biostar uses good components where it counts on their boards..sometimes better than the parts Asus uses.
Nevermind..
I found bluetooth dongles online. So..IDK..Does ASUS make them special? lol

Get Win7...

That PSU..eh..I think it's the one I've been using,and...That thing is anything but "golden" voltage regulation on the 5v rail thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
drives keep dropping out n stuff..12v rail is good..5v is pretty bad..I switched back to my older PSU because of this...

I'd suggest the bigger one..HCG is good quality.

Never skimp on the PSU..I don't even run 2 GPUs and i come close to my PSU's limits (750w) all the time.
My apologies ..

Is there any difference between the ASUS PLUS and ASUS PRO other than Wi-Fi-Blue-tooth? And will I need that Bluetooth? I really can't think of anything that id need it for? Pairing keyboards? maybe a headset? IDK!?!
You guys tell me?
After I get some input Im off ta ordering so..

If I'm looking at the right ones. The PLUS has more slots for add on cards.
Or rather, different slots. Practically the same things.

Newegg= GFX Card, Memory, OS, Case, and BR/DVD + BRDVD's
AMAZON=CPU, PSU, SSD, and 2TB HDD
Total = $1,397
Sure its good news.
But heres hoping it all doesnt get ruined via USPS!
(*Facepalm*)

OK I nee some help with the GPU to PSU hookup.
Then I'm done and ready to power up!
GPu is GV-N770OC-2GD
And PU is Rosswill Capstone 750w
The GPU has 14 pin holes?
The instructions diagram are vague.
My PU has two sets of cables that have DUAL 6+2 connectors.
Do I do a 6+6?
A 6+8?
Just 6?
Just 8?
2nd question:
Do I use same cable if dual combo or two separate psi cables?

It's a single 12v rail so using 2 cables would just theoretically allow more current, but shouldn't make any difference.

I would use one cable and just fill in the slots with a single cable.

I'm using a single cable to power bothy my graphics cards.

And even if you didn't supply enough power, if you hooked it up wrong, the only thing that would happen is it would simply refuse to boot.

So I can theoretically do all 14 pins on two separate PSU cables?
Also This is that build I posted.
Different case..
But yeah I have SSD as Main Sata to Mobo with 2TB HDD as secondary.

Am I ok to boot the Mobo with a GPU connected for the first time or is there going to be video issues due to bios and driver updates?

Should I just take out the GPU and get the MoBo updated first?
This is all new to me and the GPU to PSU really has me stumped. I guess I could take some pics and post them.

i would try to run it all on a single cable.

and updating the bios would be independent of the video card, and there shouldnt be any issues.

so what i would suggest is build it outside the case, with the motherboard on the box and see if it posts. and once it posts, if you have the asus board you can do the USB bios update no problem. you install the gpu drivers after the install of windows.

Figured it out. You actuall use two different PCiE cables from the PSU. And Fill all 14 slots 6 on one and 8 on the other. Found out through research the actual setup.
