AMD: Catalyst 14.3 Beta driver, Thief Patch featuring Mantle/TrueAudio, and fix for VSync out now - Page 15

Warsam71,

Can you comment on the 14.4 betas review websites are using to test the 295x2. Are any of the problems we've been describing here addressed? And is 14.4 another true beta or is it the WHQL drivers that are supposed to be released sometime this month?

To those of you who are experiencing the stutter issue; could you please send me a PM with your dxdiag and your system information attached?

I know you are very savvy PC users, and you’re probably familiar with the steps below, but just in case:

To get your dxdiag information:

Click on “Start” and type "dxdiag" in the “Run” (a.k.a. “Search programs and files”) field and press enter
Click on "Save All Information..." button in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window
Click on “Save” to save the information as a text file (.txt) on your desktop.
(Note you can save the file anywhere you like. But I kindly ask you to rename the file to include your name, for example JohnDoe_DxDiag.txt)

To get your system information:

Click on “Start” and type “cmd” in the “Run” field
At the prompt (in the black window that pops-up), type: systeminfo>systeminfo.txt
The above will pull your system information and automatically save it as a text file on your hard drive, the default location is probably: C:\Users
(Similar to the dxdiag file name, please rename this file to include your name)

Once you have both txt files you can insert them in the PM.

I thank you very much for your comments/feedback and more importantly for your patience

Hello guys,

I've received a few PM already. That's great, and thank you!

Please keep them coming

Here to confirm that C2 is stuttery with this driver. 13.11 works. But man! BF4 is just sweet with this.

edit: BF3 is smooth as well.

BF4 - Are you using DX or Mantle?

@rdr09

Well, i tested BF4 again and you you're right, they fixed something in latest update (31 march) because the game is no longer stutters in DX mode. Thanks for confirming stutter in C2 and for your help thumb.gif

By the way,installed Update 1 to Windows 8.1 (came with Windows Update), tested 14.3 again but no change.

I have to cancel my opinion about smooth BF4 gameplay with DirectX.. Played a match 15 minutes ago - map Zavod 32 players, drivers 14.3 - stuttering again.

@up

Yeah sure.. Very strange that in 13.12 WHQL everything is super smooth. What about other people who reporting exact same issues ? Niberius, and other's ? Broken Power Slider is also my imagination ? C'mon guys, Let's be serious.

@sugarhell
Do you think if my system passed 72 hours of Prime Blend, 20 Linx pass and 1 hour occt GPU then it isn't stable ? No offense, but i dont see r9 290 in your sig ?
