Yeah, I tried a single card extremely briefly before rolling back. It was not very smooth either. I though it might be something weird going on in my game, but after roll back smooth as butter single or Crossfire.

I noticed you have a soundblaster z as do I, I hate to say it but Soundblaster z is known to create problems with crossfire and its possible that it could also be my issue even though im on a single card. Im going to completely remove the sound card today and see what happens. I thought I had already tried removing the soundcard but apparently I had not.

Well I just uninstalled my sound card completely deleting files and cleaning registry to make sure I got it all out and then I disconnected my sound card from my pc and turned on the onboard sound. Skyrim results are the same, still a choppy mess with or without direct x tweaker, in fact as long as I use direct x tweaker in the bioshock games everything is fine and it clears up the stutter but with skyrim and the mantle drivers its like it ignores the direct x tweak utility and locking the FPS doesnt work either for some stupid reason.

So in short it doesnt appear to be a sound card issue for me at least.

In bf4 switching from dx11 to mantle and viceversa creates a 0 fps state, single player is almost unplayable anyway because of frame drops. Just to make a long story short: I still have to see mantle actually creating a huge improvement. R9 290x crossfire and watercooled here.

I posted this in the other thread but i'll repeat it here...

So i just started playing Thief, with Mantle on i get a 15fps boost over Directx in the in game benchmark. Yet in game, i have to run at medium settings or else it's choppy as hell. Using Directx i can run ultra everything except AA and it's smooth as silk but i get a lower fps in the benchmark...what gives?

8350 @ 4.3 Ghz
2 x 270X in crossfire.

I have experienced BSOD with this latest beta driver and other previous driver such as Catalyst 14.2, Catalyst 14.1 and 13.2 while playing Call of Duty: Ghost and Skyrim. Do you guys experience it too? What do I need to do to overcome this or how did you manage to solve this? Please help.

No BSOD for me, just annoying stutter.

Did you install Catalys Control Center? Whats your settings in CCC? I can live with the stutter, but not with the random crash. mad.gif

You must not be getting the stutter that im getting because it isnt livable. I did install CCC and the game I play depends on the settings I use but even if I leave everything set to use in game application settings I still have problems.

I have no issues like this at all with the 13.12 driver or any of the previous beta's, only the mantle drivers affecting some of my DX10 and DX11 games for whatever reason.
