AMD: Catalyst 14.3 Beta driver, Thief Patch featuring Mantle/TrueAudio, and fix for VSync out now - Page 5

What games do you play? I did not experience this BSOD when I didn't install the CCC, but it is recommended while using HDMI monitor like mine, so you can adjust the resolution and screen size etc. So my guess is that the problem occurs because of my settings in CCC. So what do you think? Do I have a bad card?

I play a lot of stuff, right now playing Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite, Metro Last light, Witcher 2, BF4 and BF3 ..... and a few more. If you are only getting the BSOD with CCC installed then I would say you are right that it might be a setting in there which is causing it to do that.

I dont know if you have a bad card, how does it act with the 13.12 driver?

If you experience stutter in Skyrim, maybe because of the graphics enhancement mod you apply to the game, like what I did, but those stutter is mild. I can still play the game throughout with ultra settings and 60fps. I didn't experience BSOD on 13.12 because I did not install the CCC, but if I do it will crash, or sometimes I will be prompted by "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered " message. Whats your card and PSU anyway?

Its not any of my mods causing the issue as its perfectly fine with 13.12 driver or any previous one before 13.12. Only the mantle drivers are giving me the stutter and its also present in vanilla skyrim because I tested it that way before I installed any mods.

My video card is a 290X and my power supply is a 1000watt Seasonic Gold with a monster single 12v rail.

I sent in a bug report as well Warsam71 I could also PM you if you'd like .On 14.2 now and it definitely begins to throttle after about an hour or so of playing and dx11 game. Can I ask what utility you are using to overclock?

Hello Phallacy,

Sorry for the late response (I just got back from GDC). Please, if you don't mind, do send me a PM detailing the power limit issue you're experiencing. thumb.gif

Hello Warsam71. I have single gpu 290 with 3770k. I too have problem with Power Limit. Many people have this issue since 14.1 drivers. This is clear, Power Target slider in AMD Overdrive just DOESN'T work (even if we set 150%) and card just start throttling clock if we play demanding games. And i too have stuttering in ALL directx games (exactly the same as Niberius). I'm starting to get worried about WHQL release, because those Mantle beta are unusable at least for me. I am stuck at 13.12 almost 3 months. Please tell me you're working on fixing this (stuttering and power target)...

Hello Witwicky,

Yes, I'm currently working on a report which I intend to share with my team, and thank you for your post thumb.gif

I can fill you in on the games that have started stuttering for me, Skyrim, bioshock series or any game using the UE3 engine. Perhaps a few others too that I have yet to try out.

Thank you for reply. I hope your team solve these issues very soon.

Niberius
Yeah, Bioshock Infinite stutter as hell, all directx games stutter with this driver but Bioshock Infinite and Sleeping Dogs are worst for me.

The CCC won't launch.
