Adjustless headphones for Hip-Hop?

Thread Starter
I looking to buy some new headphone soon, but i'm not entirely sure what I should be looking for. Essentially, i'm looking for headphones with an overall great sound stage, decent bass (I listen to mainly hip hop) and most importantly, don't require adjustment. By that, I mean, that have a similar design to Steelseries Siberia's or AD700's.

Thanks for the help!

Take a look at the Beyerdynamic DT770, its pretty much the jack of all trades and does it well. Very comfortable to, can have them on for hours.
Bass is very nice, sound is crisp and clean smile.gif

I'm looking for headphones with an auto adjust design. These don't seem to have that. I have heard great things about them though. Any idea what OHM version would be the best?

The most recommended option is the DT770 pro 80 (80ohms) not a pain to drive, and sounds awesome.

Also think about the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro if you want adjustable amounts of bass. biggrin.gif

umm the DT770's don't auto adjust but the adjustment doesn't tend to go out ..so if you set it once you basically never probably have to worry about it again just about.

fantastic headphones comfortable and great SQ and bass...I love my DT770s they are what I use 95% of the time at home.. not super portable however.

I have the Custom One Pros and they are really awesome. The sound isolation and quality of sound are awesome, and if you want more or less bass it is available. The bass changing system is not a gimmick, and it really works extremely well. The headphones are adjustable though, so they do not automatically adjust to your head.

EDIT: They are not that portable either though. I think I might end up getting a case or something for my pair.

my suggestion is to go to guitar center (if one is near you) they carry a number of headphones that might work for you

they have the DT770 Pro 80, AudioTechnia ATH-M50X (M40X, and M30X also) they have the Sony MDR-V7506 and also Shure 440,840 and KRK 6400 and 8400's ... generally in my experience they will let you try stuff out.. they might also have some used gear also.

I got my DT770s used from guitar center $80 in excellent shape (no box) .... i was quite pleased with that deal.
