H100i and fans.

Thread Starter
hey everyone i recently decided to build my own computer and got all the necessary items but am having a bit of a problem with my h100i and the fans connected in front and back.
on the pump wires there is a sata one which i connected and a smaller cable his is the one i am having an issue with. it says to put in cpu dummy fan slot but i have sabertooth z87 and no idea where to put this cable. the other issue i am having is with the case fans. i have two female cables and no idea where the male counterparts are. i dont want to turn my pc on until these things are fixed.

other thing was i have both fans on the top pulling air in. i know they are better on the bottom pushing out but i dont have the space with my case. is it a big difference or can i get by with pulling through top into case with one fan in the back. if needed i am using a gtx 780 ti eva superclock classified.

thank you. i am hoping to finish this build tomorrow.

also just wanted to know if i am having these issues would you reccomend bringing to a shop to get sorted out? i really hoped i could build on my own but the cooling unit has proved to be my undoing. motherboard was suprisingly easy smile.gif

in the red you can see the cord it is and where i plugged it in. but i am thinking i am wrong to have it there. second one is what the two cords that go to no others look like. both fan cords connected to the back of the case.

The 3 pin cable from the cooling block itself should be added on the motherboard with the 3pin called 'CPU FAN'

The fans should be in the splitter, wich you can slide onto the block aswell.

The 2 fans included with the H100I should be 4 pin?
Wich you add to the splitter. If you then connect the cooling block to the motherboard, you can download the corsair software to control the speeds etc.

I have the two fans from the h100i all set with spliter. its the case fans I domt have and no other loose cables. They also have two prongs. With the other one I see cpu fan but theres multiple. Is there a certain one? Also sorry finally remembered old username.

Just incase anyone looking gets confused I am onryotsu op just remembered my old username.

So I solved the cpu header issue thanks to all that helped.

Main issue now is the two chasis fans. I have them hanging. I can use the second y cable that is
in the pump but it doesnt fit the cables that are hanging unless I am needing an adapter. I am wondering if its something I
plug into kh power supply, mobo or pump of cpu

Ang ideas let me know. Thank you.

Are both of the chassis fans the regular 12V fans with 3 pin connectors? If so, just plug them into any extra fan headers on your motherboard.

Thabks for the help everyone. Got it up and running and feels good to have built
myself rather than pre built. Runs great! Bring on the overclock.
