[Guruof3d] ASUS GeForce GTX 780 Ti Matrix review - Page 4

By the beard of Zeus! This thing is sweet! Which one of you crazies is getting one?!?
If I were getting a 780Ti I'd look no further than the Classy or KPE. The Matrix might be a decent option for the 290X however I'd probably go with the Lightning version of that card. Either way, I'm still quite content with my 1300MHz Titans! biggrin.gif

I look card careful video, I very good look details, cards look very nice, but in hands I give warranty EVGA Classified will give better impression to most advanced customers who have experience with good hardware.
Special Kingpin Edition. Because transparent look people maybe don't have real idea how card is build strong and well made with plates from both side of PCB. Simply keeping in hand can't compare with anything. Same told me people who never saw EVGA cards before.
Special when you keep peace of hardware in hand. OK most of people will want to overclock card but someone who don't want to OC KP Classified give higher score out of box and Classified Ti with 1080MHz BIOS too. Because after few weeks of OC usually start gaming several months and KP have guaranteed boost of 1200.
But I think now is time to EVGA design and present EVBot X new device for overclocking Classified cards and extreme motherboards. Some nice device for 100$ with compatible connectors with previous generation.
Because ASUS use own extreme knowledge about motherboards to make this little things full of excellent options and I'm sure that little extension will work 100% without any bug or flaw..

I love asus but when it comes to graphics cards I tend to stay away from them, sure their fine if your not looking to do major overclocks, but they market their cards as if they are able to do major overclocks when its quite the opposite redface.gif

My guess is September for reference card releases. December for non reference cards like the classified. I'm done getting nvidia reference cards for good. Green light program can bite me.

I thought there were ways around it? Like Skyn3t's awesome custom/unlocked BIOSes?
That's a small way around it, you still can't go past 1.212v though even on his bios unless you hardmod the reference cards.

Without a good water block, this is a waste of a card.

Without a ln2 pot it's not getting what it deserves lol. Every card we see engineered for ln2 the thread always gets spammed with "derp air cooling derp"

Before anyone misreads my post thinking I'm saying air cooling people are dumb or whatever, my point is don't complain about the super beefed up pcb being a waste on air. It wasn't made with air in mind. It was made with the idea it would be covered in frost to be maxed out. Cards like this always find their way home to an air cooled gamers case where it never gets to do what it was meant to, and that's fine, it's their money and they can't spend it on whatever they want even if they never use it for its intended purpose.
