[Build Log] First WC Build, Corsair Air 540 - Desert Rose

This is my first real watercooled build so please be gentle tongue.gif

Current Setup:
  • Intel i7 2600k h110 cooler
  • GTX 780 Ti Stock cooler
  • P8Z68 V-Pro
  • 4x4GB 1333mhz RAM
  • 256GB SSD Samsung
  • 1TB SSD (Will check brand once I'm home)
  • Coolermaster N600 Case

I'll keep everything except the motherboard, RAM and CPU for the new setup in the Corsair 540, I'll use the old parts for something else...
Might sell/give them to my younger brother or use them to host some gameservers.

New Setup:
  • Intel i7 4770k Watercooled & Overclocked
  • GTX 780 Ti Watercooled
  • Sabertooth Z87
  • 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866mhz
  • 256GB SSD Samsung
  • 1TB SSD
  • Corsair RM850 Modular PSU
  • Corsair Air 540 Case

Watercooling parts:

except the reservoir, will get a reservoir with a pump included for this build. Have not decided on tube/color yet.

Color Scheme:

For the color scheme I decided to sleeve my cables in 3 colors from mdpc:
  • Black
  • Vanilla Sands N.17
  • Color X (Mainly the Sata Sleeve for the SSD, might be a nice eyecatcher)

Have not really decided on a name yet but something including sand/desert might fit (desert rose maybe due to the touch of red in there). Might put this sticker somewhere:

I should get the case and PSU today, mobo/ram/cpu may arrive tomorrow and hopefully I'll get the sleeves before friday so I can start sleeving over the weekend.

I have not ordered the watercooling parts yet but I'll order them soon.

p.s. English is not my first language, sorry if it's hard to read.

I don't know where your ordering your water parts but frozen cpu and performance pc have promo codes. Also when I did my research performance pc was a little cheaper on most item

I thought about getting them from the ekwb website because I dont have to pay shipping but I'll see if the supplier in Switzerland can help me out. (Aquatuning doesnt have EKWB in their catalog, I might just get something else if it's a lot more cheaper).

I was on a tight budget so I went EK water blocks, a swiftech pump, an xspc radiator, phobilla fittings, and monsoon hard acrylic tube, which from what I hear you can order from a hardware store for a lot cheaper.
