The original V1 had an MSRP of $1400 and sold for less than that, I couldn't find a price but it should be in line with that same pricing model

I'm also a fan of some Sager notebooks as well, no experience with Clevo but they're popular as well

Edit: A 15.6" version of the gigabyte is sure to follow as well

Sager is a clevo. Clevo sells their machines to sager, malibal, mythlogic, etc...

Those gigabyte laptops look good but I have no experience with them. I like gigabyte's products though

Ahh alright, I remember some of the chassis' looking familiar from a bit ago when I was looking into gaming laptops myself

A friend at college had the original P34G, wasn't a fan of the keyboard or off center trackpad. There wasn't much I could find fault in with the little time I had to play with it and connectivity was more than sufficient and extremely accessible internals for upgrades/etc when you take the bottom off.

Reminds me I should still recook my 9800GT for my AW M15x R1, that model had just too much going wrong for it.

I know the y510p can be had for around $850 on newegg and amazon with a dual core processor, 8gb ram and 1tb hdd, with the SLi 755s. But I don't recall seeing one with 765s.

The wireless issue is linked to the Intel WiFi card the 2230, stick with the 7260N or AC and your golden.

I have the 7260N and haven't had a single issue but first lets figure out what your looking at

sorry i meant to say 755m. was a typo.

this actually seems perfect. its 1080p, 14 inch screen. 3 pounds-ish, 860m (new architecture), very portable. I can't find a price for it. The ones that have the 700m series are around what you said. 1300-1400.

After searching a bit more I found a place selling one of them here however I do believe a bit of price gouging is going on if Gigabyte doesn't have the actual MSRP available on their primary site

Edit: Nvm has the 760m listed, hmm false model listed, clever...

yeah. ill just wait to see how much the 860m will be. it shows where to buy by region on that one sight linked earlier, but it just gives numbers to private stores in the area. guess you can't buy the 860m online yet? You have to order it through a store?

Pretty sure but the stores are probably in the process of adding the laptop or have to wait for their shipments to come in before selling

Any reason why you're not considering Sager options? I would bet the gigabyte stuff is due out the end of the month.

http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np7338-clevo-w230ss-eta-march-p-6992.html 13.3" with 860m

take a look around xoticpc, I really have liked them as a sager reseller, and they have great customer service for me thus far. They also have several sagers with MXM type cards

Or you could look at these which are dual heatsinks with fans (1 for the cpu and another for the gpu)

http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8268-clevo-p150sma-eta-march-p-6986.html?wconfigure=yes

http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8278-clevo-p170sma-eta-march-p-6984.html

http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8258-clevo-p157sma-eta-march-p-6988.html

http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8298-clevo-p177sma-eta-march-p-6983.html

2 are 15" laptops and 2 are 17" laptops. the internals of each are the same, they just offer a more stylized chassis, or a more basic chassis.
