We just wanted to announce that, after much deliberation, we've decided that one of the next steps for us is to support Linux. Now, we're not ready to launch Linux games on GOG.com just yet. We've only been working on bringing these Linux games to our service for a few months, and there's lots more to go, but we wanted to let you know what's going to be coming this fall to a digital distributor near you.

Linux news gets posted in here all the time. I don't get why suddenly there's a problem

No. Never. I only care about the Linux and programming forums and the OCN home page is (or at least used to be) painfully slow to load and render. So I stopped bothering with it a few years ago.

Timely isn't good enough. Landing pages should be instant (particularly in the case of this one which is just a collection of links to other places on the site).

But for what it's worth, it does seem quicker now than it used to be (though I've disabled adverts, the image carousel and a whole bunch of other junk Huddler throws in)

not to pick on you, i'm not always so good with words but, what i meant was hardware that old shouldn't be able to load it at all or at least not in a timely manner, so the fact such an old machine can load it in say 20 seconds or so, shows how much better it may be than before.
