[AMD] Catalyst 14.3 Beta 1.0 Released - Page 11

With 13.12 driver, my 7950 can run 1200/1600 1.17V. But all the 14.xx beta drivers fail when OC with increasing voltage (from 800/1125 0.95V) and power limit (+20%): Crash driver or freeze system.

I use Asus Tweak to OC and uninstall 13.12 driver with "AMD Clean Uninstall Utility" before install 14.xx drivers.

isnt AMD Clean Uninstall Utility the same as the uninstall in add/remove programs?

Apparently not, but without the source code we have no way to say (beyond auditing all the files and registry keys being removed). It doesn't add any more steps to the process, so it's best to just use that utility instead of the add/change programs menu.

So has anyone heard of Crossfire fixes upcoming for Titanfall?

Interesting... I'll check that out. Thanks!

Edit:
I don't see anywhere where he actually got crossfire working. I can play the game just fine with the default profile, but only 1 GPU is utilized and clocks to the correct 3d mode frequency. It's likely this is the case with him too, unless he found another game profile that works.

For anyone having problems with this driver AMD said to completely wipe the old ones off specifically for this problem which might be why some here are having problems.

I used this program to wipe the drivers through the automatic safe mode option and have not had a single issue with this driver. Display Driver Uninstaller has always worked perfectly for me and now I am in the habit of using it to uninstall my AMD drivers through the automatic safe mode option and have had little to no problems with the drivers where people are reporting an array of issues. The AMD uninstaller utility does not work for Windows 8+ so this should be the program that everyone uses where it works for both the red and green teams and is always being updated.

Hope that helps.

The AMD Uninstaller worked just fine for me in 8.1. That's what they recommend to use, so I would stick to that rather than any 3rd party tools. I just ran the tool, rebooted, installed the new driver, rebooted, installed Hydravision, then rebooted again.

Good to know they finally updated it.

OT: This driver sure likes to get stuck on 3D clocks and voltages...

I never uninstall unless the new driver install borks in a way that is detrimental. Just recently my audio borked, went to devmgmt.msc and changed drivers back. Now I'm running good, no FPS drops or anything.

Been doing it this way since I built my PC. Even in XP, unless a driver conflicted there was never any "driver removal" programs in use. I don't believe in them and will continue to do so (just using devmgmt.msc) until a life changing experience happens. Which personally, has an extremely low percent of happening.
