[TPU] BIOSTAR Ready to Launch Motherboards with Built-in ASICS – Great for Bitcoins - Page 2

Stop with the GPU price crap, Bitcoin is SHA-256 based not Scyrpt which people buy GPU's to mine.

Depending on price, availability, and power consumption it's going to be a hard sale to an experienced miner.

Its nice of Biostar to try new things and all. However, if its more than $50, it is pointless. Hoping for about $30...

The lowest cost for ASIC miners currently available is $3 per GH/s. At those rates, it would set the value of these boards around $72. A $50 price would set it at $2.08 per GH/s and $30 would set it at $1.25 GH/s. If the boards do delivery competitive energy efficiency, a price of $50 would instantly make it the most economical choice when compared to the current selection of ASIC parts.

Scrypt-N, Scrypt-jane, keccak, XPM (Primecoin = integer not floating point), multiround hashing etc...

SHA-256 has been dead for GPUs, now it's scrypt's (And the 100s of LTC clones) turn on the chopping block courtesy of Gridseed.
